About Laura Cohen
Laura resides in Bethesda with her husband and two young boys. As an early childhood educator, Laura has always been passionate about helping children. During the pandemic, she longed for the days of socializing and building community with other moms around town. MoCo Mitzvah Moms was born out of this desire to rebuild our connections as moms and help fellow moms and families going through challenging times. Laura's loved the opportunity to infuse her love of exercise into the work by having fundraisers such as Orange Theory and Jazzercise.
About Julie Rachlin
Julie lives in Potomac with husband and her two boys. By day, she works in SaaS Marketing, and by night loves using her skills to further the mission of MoCo Mitzvah Moms as it gives her a chance to give back to the local community while coming full circle after her own experiences as a parent of a child with food allergies who experienced hospital appointments and stays.
About Nicole Schechter
Nicole lives in Garrett Park with her husband, two daughters, and dog Macy. When not working or mom-ing, she can be found at concerts or at Orangetheory Fitness, which explains why her fave MMM event this year was the OTF fundraiser!
About Avery Sudow
Avery lives in Potomac, Maryland and she loves how connected our community feels and enjoys sharing about Moco Mitzvah Moms with others while making them feel welcome.
About Molly Levin Van Grack
Molly lives in the Lakelands neighborhood in Gaithersburg. She loves playing Jewish geography and this organization feels like a real life version of that! What a great opportunity to bring moms together who are already loosely connected and find a way to strengthen those connections/create new ones while at the same time giving back to our community.
